Warranties
As is standard in our industry, all warranties of merchandise sold at The Bed Room Park City are solely manufacturer warranties. Although we do not offer any additional store warranties, we do work closely with our suppliers to be able to help service any issues that may happen to arise. Rest assured that we carry only the highest quality products from reputable manufacturers who maintain the highest commitment to standing behind their products.
mattresses
Mattress warranties are to protect you against manufacturer defects within a time period from when you first purchase the mattress. Most often, if there is anything wrong with the bed from the manufacturer, you will know it pretty quickly. But sometimes, a mattress can fail even after you have had it a while. Here are a few examples:
Tufts pop.
Tape edging comes loose.
Coils fall in the core of the bed (if one happens to fall over, often others also start to fall, and you lose the entire support of your bed).
Warranties do not cover minor indentations in the comfort layers of mattresses. Indentation depths that constitute valid warranty claims vary by manufacturer, but they’re usually about 2.5 inches. (Indentations less than this are typically not an issue because, firstly, when we lie on a mattress, we sink into it much more than 2.5 inches, and, secondly, materials used in our mattresses are of such high quality that it is rare to see a manufacturer problem in the top comfort layers of the bed.)
In order to ensure your mattress manufacturer warranty does not become void, here are a few helpful tips:
Purchase a mattress cover with your mattress. Stains or soiling of any kind void all mattress manufacturer warranties, so a cover is a great insurance policy for your bed. (You must also purchase and use a mattress cover in order to participate in The Bed Room’s comfort guarantee, so it’s a good idea all around.)
Make sure that you do not remove the law label (attached at the head of your mattress). Without it, your warranty is void.
If your mattress is sagging more than 2.5 inches (indication of broken or fallen springs) or if the mattress is in some other way clearly defective, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us. We are happy to help facilitate your manufacturer warranty claim. In order to best help you, we will need the following:
A copy of your store receipt (if you have lost it, we can pull one up in our system for you).
A picture showing the damage or sag in relation to the entire width of the mattress (also to show there are no stains or soils).
If it is a sag issue, we will also need another picture with a strait edge (a wood yard stick or a string, for example) and a ruler to measure the depth of the sag at the lowest point.
A picture of the law label tag at the head of the mattress.
